What is Invisalign®?
Invisalign® is a discreet way to straighten your teeth using a series of clear, removable aligners. You wear each set for a short period of time, only taking them out to eat, drink anything other than water, and brush. Over time, the aligners gently guide your teeth into the planned position, with Jonty monitoring your progress throughout.
The Benefits of Invisalign® With Jonty
What is the Invisalign® Process?
1.
Initial Consultation
First, Jonty will discuss your smile goals and what you want to achieve. Then he’ll carry out a full check of your dental health, bite and jaw to confirm Invisalign® is the right option for you.
2.
3D Scan & X-ray
Next, an OPG X-ray and a full 3D scan of your teeth using an iTero™ scanner will be taken. From this, Jonty can create a digital preview of how your teeth are expected to align and what your future smile could look like.
3.
Invisalign® Fitting
When your aligners arrive, Jonty will fit you with your first set and talk you through exactly how to wear them and care for them day to day.
4.
Progress Checks
Jonty will see you at regular intervals throughout treatment to ensure everything is progressing as planned. If needed, small tooth-coloured attachments will be added to help achieve more precise movements.
5.
Treatment Complete
Once you’ve finished your aligners and we’re both happy with the final result, we’ll put a long-term retention plan in place. This usually includes a night-time retainer to maintain your new smile.
